DESCRIPTION: This little beast is loud and tunes into stations really well! Dual speakers is uncommon among designs of the period. Understated design compared with others on this site but unmistakably retro looking. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in the late 50s early 60s in excellent working condition. Model number T-141A. Cabinet is original factory molded ivory color. The front metal fascia is in very good condition with slight oxidation staining. No cracks on the top! But there are fine scratches throughout on the surface due to age but not abuse. No cracks, chips, repairs or missing material. No repaint or repairs. None needed. All original everything. All knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. The power cable is securely attached yellowed but in good working condition. The power cord is not cracked or split or with exposed wiring. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment with no pets. When this radio was new, Eisenhower was US President!
