DESCRIPTION: If you have dreams of a Barbie or flamingo pink mid-century clock radio that is sleek and angular, this clock radio is your wake up call. It's totally dope, man. You would need a serious mid-century pad with lots of Herman Miller or Calder to do this clock radio justice. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Sears Silvertone in the 1950's excellent working condition. Cabinet is an original molded pink plastic clear transparent clock bezel. Looks like something corrosive was spilled onto the radio at one point because the upper right corner of the clock bezel is hazy. Very mid-century early sixties looking with its wide low sleek looks and oblique angular grill. There was a chip on the front top edge which has been repaired and repainted. See video of restoration work here. Volume knob is a replacement securely attached. Stacked tuning dial is original and works perfectly. This radio is over 50 years old! Dial light is new replacement and lights up brightly. The tuning dial works fine no slipping. The power cable is securely attached. The original cord was stronger and better quality than most. The power cord is in good working condition. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment with no pets. I love this radio! I can't say enough about it. It is so in-your-face retro and flambouyant, it's almost over-compensating!
