DESCRIPTION: Popular and attractive GE General Electric radio model from the mid-sixties! This model series was one of the most popular and commonly found clock radios throughout the 60s and into the 70s!
SOUND QUALITY: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio manufactured by GE General Electric in the mid sixties. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded cornflower blue color plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No cracks or major scratches or missing pieces. There is a small chip on front top left corner. Front aluminum metalized paper clock back panel is in excellent condition not oxidized, no water stains.
KNOBS: Original matching volume and tuning knobs are securely attached no cracks, no broken attachment posts. Tuning knob has small edge chips.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original factory labels are in excellent condition.
