AZURITE BLUE Mid Century 1964 Truetone Model DC2614 Solid State Clock Retro Radio Works Great!

COLOR: Azurite Blue

YOUTUBE Video here. I live in rural Connecticut and there's only one radio station that comes in loud and clear depending on the day.

DESCRIPTION: This is the last hurrah of the late fifties bold colors. Transistor technology was becoming more the norm by the mid sixties. About this time, fake plastic wood grain and brushed aluminum starting becoming the aesthetic of industrial consumer electronics. Truetone got the memo and rallied with this seafoam beauty but designed with transistor technology that is still being used today. So this vintage clock radio is way ahead of its time on the inside but still clinging to some color choices of the past. Very unique and rare clock radio. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Truetone in 60's in excellent+ working condition. This antique radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Beautiful design that looks instantly early to mid 60s. Like Beach Boys and Annette Funicello in Beach Blanket Bingo! No cracks, chips on front, top or sides. No missing material anywhere on the cabinet which is hard to find given the sharp corners of this design. Excellent original condition cabinet with no cracks, chips, splits, or seams, or missing pieces. Knobs are original and securely attached. Black paint on knobs is rubbed off in areas. Gold highlight paint is rubbed off in areas. No missing factory labels or stickers. No dial light. Not originally designed with one. All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. The tuning dial works fine. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
