Antique Ivory Bakelite 1942 RCA Victor Model 6X2 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1942 in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory ivory paint has dings and scratches throughout. Knobs are original and securely attached. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment. This radio is over 75 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. Volume on/off switch works. The tuning dial cover is clear no yellowing no cracks some warping but securely attached. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping or sticky spots. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Bottom factory label is mostly missing. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. Original backing board is missing. Original antenna loop is securely mounted and works perfectly. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
