Mocha Brown Motorola Model C1N3 Tube AM Clock Radio

COLOR: Brown, like mocha brown or walnut brown

YOUTUBE VIDEO here. I live in rural Connecticut and there's only one radio station that comes in loud and clear depending on the day.

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM antique radio manufactured by Motorola in excellent+ working condition.  This vintage radio has a simple classic design style.  Original factory molded color not painted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. There is a small hairline crack beginning from the top center just under the "hood" of the cabinet near the grill.  This is probably due to the hard brittle properties of the polycarbonate plastic and the effects of temperature changes over the years. It is structurally sound. Clock face and clock dial are in great condition.  All clock components work including the alarm.  This retro radio is over 60 years old! Grill is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, rust, or warping. Motorola label on front speaker grill is in excellent condition. The knobs are in excellent condition yellowed nicely with age. The tuning knob abd volume knobs are molded in tan and contrasts nicely with the rest of the brown cabinet. It is not yellowed ivory. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear bezel on this radio is securely attached no cracks or scratches. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.   All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage! This thing belongs in a museum!
