Hull Grey 1955 Zenith Super Deluxe Model R623G AM Tube Radio Bells and Whistles!
DESCRIPTION: This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith is in 1955 in excellent condition. The cabinet is fabulous! No cracks, chips or major scratches anywhere on cabinet. No cracks on top.Tuning and volume knobs are original and securely attached. Original factory molded grey. Center cravat grill is original white color. Not repainted or touched up. Original factory glossiness and sheen. Very glossy. This radio is over 60 years old! Dial light tuning indicator lights brightly. Little brightness knob is original and working. This is one of the only designs I've come across with an adjustable clock light. Amazingly, the bulb wasn't even blown out! How can that be? No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine as designed. Some rust and discoloration on the gold inset of the right dial knob. No tarnish and discoloration of meta trim. The power cable is securely attached no cracking, splits, or exposed wiring. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
