Avocado Green 1963 Motorola Model C11G Vacuum Tube AM Clock Alarm Radio Sounds Great! Rare Color! Pristine Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1963 time frame pristine physical and working condition. Rare color. Avocado was the new pink and turquoise in early sixties.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET: Cabinet is in pristine condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. The plastic is in factory glossy almost new looking condition. Original factory molded avocado color through and through. Not repainted. Not touched up. Not over sprayed. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Front aluminum tuning fascia is shiny, no oxidation, dents, or dings. Clear tuning window is in excellent condition with no crack, chips, or flaking numbers
KNOBS: Original factory matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition. Original little clock function knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. No broken flaps. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
LOGOS: No missing logos. Original Sylvania center grill logo is intact, though slightly faded.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is quiet on this one. The alarm works and goes off at correct set time. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio no buzzer. The clock clear cover is in excellent condition and transparent not yellowing no cracks or chips. No stress fractures, yellowing, or major scratches. Aluminum clock back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, oxidation trails, or water stains. No rub off rub-off in clock number lettering.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Bottom factory labels are not missing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time!
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
POWER CABLE: The original white power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks or brittleness. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board in matching avocado. Nice touch.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near kitchen for much of its life.
