Inverness Green 1948 Westinghouse Model H-124 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Unique Design Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Instantly recognizable Westi refrigerator radio from right after the war!. Has very deco-ish looking styling. One of the early portable deisgns that actually sounds pretty good and not overly bulky.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded dark green Bakelite. No cracks, chips, or major scratches! No repairs or repaints of any kind on this vintage radio. None needed. Original gold color metal facade is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, or major scratches. No rust or oxidation. Original factory grill cloth is in excellent condition with no rips no seperated edges. All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. The retractable handle and handle grip are in excellent condition. Not broken. Securely attached. Not bent.
LOGO: Westinghouse front top logo is in excellent condition
KNOBS: The volume and tuning knobs are original matching dark green plastic securely attached. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are original, working, and securely attached. The tuning and volume knobs are in excellent condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need for external wire antenna.
DIAL LIGHT: Dial light lights bright green behind the Westi logo.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. The vacuum tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.
