Tech Age Beige 1965 Silvertone Model 132.4901 Solid State AM Clock Radio Instant Sound! Very Futuristic Looking Design!
DESCRIPTION: Very practical Silvertone design from the sixties. Captures a lot of the high tech design aspects that are still relevant today. Silvertone clock radio is in excellent working and physical condition. Original factory molded tech beige color plastic. Not repainted, no over spray no touch up. None needed. Volume and tuning knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. Loud! This radio is over 50 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. Volume works. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. Clock light works and lights as designed. Was originally designed with an incandescent number 47 pilot bulb that always stayed on. Probably stopped illuminating soon after clock was plugged in for a few months. Not sure why Sears engineers decided to do this. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no grinding no ticking noises. Clock time and alarm time set function works. Buzzer alarm works. Snooze button works. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Original power cord is is in excellent working condition with no cracks, fraying, or brittleness. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. Bottom label is missing. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
