DESCRIPTION: This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by RCA Victor in 1957 in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded pink plastic. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. No heat cracks on top or melted heat vents in back. It is a classic mid-century modern sleek design that in a highly desirable color combo. This radio stands out without screaming "I was made in the 1950s!" Easy to add to any room décor. Cabinet is original molded pink and white color.
KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached slightly yellowed with age. Missing tuning knob gold metal insert. Volume knob gold metal insert is intact. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Original matching clock function knobs securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio and radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Front clock face panel is clean black no smudges no fading no oxidation trails.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both intermediate frequency transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to insure against undesirable static noise in the future. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Color matching white plastic back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, co chips, no major scratches.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels.
