DESCRIPTION: If you were blind folded in a high end audio store back in 1959 comparing a bunch of different AM FM radios back to back, this is the one you would say, "I'll take that one!" Tabletop tube AM/FM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1959 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.  Receives AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial using internal antenna. No external antenna needed. FM dipole antenna wire will be included for even better reception. No cracks, chips, or major scratches on factory painted black wood cabinet. Factory black paint is aged checked throughout but not worn through anywhere, not flaking or peeling. Nice vintage looking old paint finish. No repainted, no over spray, no touch up. None needed. Front ivory color grill is in excellent condition securely attached, yellowed evenly due to age, no cracks, no chips. Zenith factory logos are intact securely attached. Switch from AM to FM with a turn of the switch. This vintage radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The silver metal painted trim is oxidized and tarnished in areas but still shiny. AM FM selector works. Volume works with even smooth attenuation across the range. Volume and tone knobs are original chrome paint has entirely rubbed off to white. Original tuning knob and band selector works chrome paint rubbed off to some extent. Tuning knob works no sticky spots or slipping. Band selector AM FM AVC works. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.  Original power cable and plug is in excellent condition securely attached no breaks, no fraying no exposed wiring. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is original intact with no cracks no warping crisp edges and corners. Bottom factory label is about 50% there. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
