Mint Green Mid Century 1959 Zenith S-41876 AM/FM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Want a 50's color vacuum tube radio but prefer FM? Here's one for you. Tabletop tube AM/FM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1959 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. Receives AM and FM stations clearly and loudly across the dial using internal antenna. No external antenna needed. No chips, or major scratches. There is a hairline crack on the right side approx 2-3". Switch from AM to FM with a turn of the switch. Original factory molded mint green plastic no repaint, no over spray, no touch up. None needed. This vintage radio is over 65 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The metal gold painted tuning and volume dials work fine no slipping no sticky spots some rub off gold paint. AM FM selector works. Volume works with even smooth attenuation across the range. No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. Original factory cream tweed grill cloth is intact with run on the bottom edge some holes, Original power cable and plug is securely attached no breaks, no fraying no exposed wiring. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is original intact with no cracks no warping crisp edges and corners. Bottom factory label is missing. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
