Chocolat Brown Mid Century 1955 Zenith H725 AM/FM Vacuum Tube Radio Loud As A Banshee!
DESCRIPTION: If you were one of the first families to have FM radio in the mid fifties, it was probably this model. Tabletop tube AM/FM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1955 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Switch from AM to FM with a turn of the switch. Original factory molded brown Bakelite no repaint, no over spray, no touch up. None needed. This vintage radio is over 65 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. AM FM selector works. Volume works with even smooth attenuation across the range. Center tone knob works. Tone attenuation range is not substantial though. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. Original knobs are securely attached no broken or repaired posts. Original factory grill mesh is in excellent condition with no dents or dings. Original factory handle on top is very functional couple broken cane windings. The brand new replacement power cable is securely attached no breaks, no fraying no exposed wiring. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is original intact with no cracks no warping crisp edges and corners. Bottom factory label is about 50% there. No exposed wiring. Brand new dipole antenna is included for no extra charge for even better reception. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
