DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1954 time frame in excellent+ physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio booms! Original factory molded red plastic. All little red clock knobs three in a row on top are original and securely attached. I prefer these red knobs in a row across the top versus the more common white knobs at 12, 3, and 6 o'clock. These little clock knobs often go missing over the years and it's even harder to find the little red knobs. No cracks, chips, or scratches. Original factory molded colors. Not repainted. No touch ups or over sprays. None needed. This radio is almost 65 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. The clear dial face is cracked. No dial light. Not designed with one. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is silent. No grinding, buzzing, or humming. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. This thing belongs in a museum!
