DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Packard Bell in 1946 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory wood cabinet with factory painted white spackle textured finish. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. No flaking or cracked paint. Original factory wood veneer under white spackle paint is bubbling in some spots. Tuning clear window is not cracked no major scratches. The clear tuning window on this model is usually missing among surviving examples of this model. Tuning back panel silver paper is in ecellent condition. Original ivory plastic grill piece is in excellent condition with not cracks, chips, and securely attached. 

KNOBS: Original matching factory ivory plastic knobs securely attached. The original tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots.

LOGO: No missing logo. 

DIAL LIGHT: Both dial lights work and light brightly. Replaced with modern LED for brightness and long life.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: no backing board. not designed with one.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
