DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by Coronado in 1950 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. This is a very rare model in a very rare color.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original molded brown Bakelite in factory painted salmon pink color. Not repainted, not touched up, not over sprayed. There is a small paint dings throughout. The finish is factory original and shiny. No cracks, no chips, no missing pieces.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without an external antenna.
KNOBS: Original factory metal tuning knob. Color matching original pink volume knob. Securely attached.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light
CLOCK: No clock
LOGOS: Logo on the dial face is crisp and clear.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CORD: Original power cord is in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing boardis in excellent condition.
