DESCRIPTION: Nice General Electric vintage solid state transistor radio. Vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by GE in sixties time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original factory molded beige ivory color plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No major scratches or missing pieces. Clear clock cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, securely attached. Clock and radio function lettering is not rubbed off at all. No rust, oxidation, fading, or stains on clock back panel.
KNOBS: Original matching knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. No broken attach posts. Little clock function knob is original and securely attached. Volume knob and silver centers are in excellent condition, no chips, no tarnish, some rust.
LOGO: No missing logo.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. No alarm buzzer. Wake to radio only. No sleep timer.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels. Back factory label is faded.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is intact and securely mounted. Factory info printing is water stained and faded.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near kitchen for much of its life.
