The folks at Arvin were taking lessons from an Edsel catalog when they conceived this hideous demon. Tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Arvin in 1957 excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No cracks on top. There is a 2-3\" crack on the bottom. This radio is over 50 years old!  No missing labels on front speaker grill. The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing knobs. The clear dial face has no stress cracks. Please see the photo close-up. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing.  No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. This radio is louder than most and clear as a bell. Cabinet is original condition top and sides original molded maroon plastic. No cracks, chips, or abrasions on top front or sides. Miracle, considering the thin unsupported expanse of top plastic. No repaints. No repairs. None needed. The only design of its kind. Original gold metal grill is in excellent condition. The little plastic volume and tone covers are in excellent condition with no broken tabs, cracks, warping, or rub off lettering. This radio is over 65 years old! The tuning dial works fine. Excellent art deco design! Glass dial cover is uncracked and clear although it looks like the back decal is starting to bubble in areas. The volume and tuning knobs are original matching brown bakelite securely attached. This radio is almost 70 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. Look at the neat Art Deco-ish type font! Dial light is newly replaced and lights up brightly. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine.
