DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM antique radio manufactured by Westinghouse in 1965-1966 in excellent working and physical condition. If counter space was scarce in your back in the 60s, Westinghouse's answer was "The Space Maker" vertically oriented with smaller footprint, which saves you 4-8 square inches of table or counter space! Hoo-rah!
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Factory original sand beige color molded plastic cabinet. Not repainted, not over sprayed or touched up. Some small chips along the front edges where the plastic is especially thin.
KNOBS: All original factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. Volume on/off switch works. The tuning dial and pointer works, no slipping no sticky spots.
DIAL LIGHT: Rare always on light. Glows orange using a neon gas bulb that never needs to replace.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition. All original factory printing info and labels are intact and readable.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug is in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing factory labels
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
