Gumby Green 1953 Zenith Model L520F AM Vintage Vacuum Tube Radio Gorgeous Looking and Sounding!
DESCRIPTION: This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1953 is in excellent physical and working condition. The Bakelite cabinet is a gorgeous Gumby green color. The original factory green is a repaint and a near perfect color match and shines like new. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Minor fleabites and paint nicks here and there on the grill. All knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine as designed. No tarnish, oxidation, pitting, or discoloration on metal cosmetic parts. Original volume is securely attached in excellent condition. No missing center gold metal caps on knobs. Original tuning knob is securely attached in excellent condition no slipping. The clear plastic clock and tuning windows are in excellent condition no cracks no yellowing no warping due to age. No dial light not designed with this one but can be added. The volume and tone modulate as designed through the entire range smoothly and without crackling. Very loud performer! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. No humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep timer knob and post are missing. All other clock functions work as originally designed. Backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks or fatigued corners. The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Original factory labels on bottom are in very good condition with minor yellowing some missing portions. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
