Powder Pink 1959-60 GE General Electric Model C-422B AM Vintage Radio Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by General Electric in 1960 in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded in powder pink plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. This model often has chips on the front protruding corners or back panel tabs. Not this one! The front clock and tuning clear cover is also clear and without cracks, chips or hazing, and securely attached. All front top clock function lettering is in excellent condition. Not rubbed off. Top snooze button works.
KNOBS: Original knobs are color matching and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Gold metal center caps are shiny not oxidized. Original factory matching clock function knobs.
LOGO: Front Musiphonic logo is missing.
DIAL LIGHT: Tuning dial light works as designed and follows movement of the dial pointer. Wicked!
CLOCK Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio and radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Top snooze button works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free operation in the future. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Original color matching pink-ish power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Color matching original back cover. No melted, cracked or chipped heat vents in back.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom factory label is mostly missing. Back bottom safety label is intact not missing.
