Creme Ivory 1958 Arvin Model 5571 AM Vacuum Tube Clock Radio Nice!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio manufactured by Arvin in 1959 in very good physical and excellent working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is factory original molded ivory white color plastic. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. Often this model has heat crack on top. Not this one! All original everything!
KNOBS: Factory original matching knobs securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine.All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No back board. Not designed with one. Color matching back cover is in excellent condition no cracks no chips no major scratches.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom label is about 50% missing.
CLOCK: Clock works, keeps accurate time, but has a loud motor humming sound. Alarm works. Sleep function works. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Clear clock cover has a ;larger vertical crack from top to bottom that has is securely mounted.
