UNBELIEVABLE 1951 Lang Model 123 Tube AM Radio Bubble Gum Pink Mint Condition Sounds Lang-tastic!
DESCRIPTION: Very few radios make my hairs stand up. This is one of them. If you're looking for a custom color deco style radio, this radio comes close to grail-like status. If pink and near mint condition is important to you, then say hello to my little friend. Lang Radio is a very obscure manufacturer for 50s. This is probably the only one left in existence. I haven't even seen this model in brown much less in pink! Very proportional design. Not too big so as to look pudgy. It is just the right size to be cute. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Bakelite cabinet is in near mint condition. There are two small hairline crack beginning from the volume and tuning knobs on the bottom. This radio is over 65 years old! Clock is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, rust, or warping. Lang label on front is in excellent condition with slight tarnish. The knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The clear glass is securely attached no cracks or scratches. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning indicator is a replacement. No dial light not designed with one. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep function works. Alarm works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment. This thing really belongs in a museum!
