DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by General Electric in 1966 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded ivory beige plastic. Original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted, not touched up or over sprayed. Original factory grill fabric is not ripped, no stains, edges not separated. Clear original clear plastic clock window is in excellent condition, not cracked, no chips, not yellowed with age, no warping and securely attached, clear letters not rubbed off. Clock display back panel is in excellent condition with no rust or water stains or oxidation trails.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without an external antenna.
KNOBS: Original factory matching tuning and volume dials work fine. Securely attached. Original matching clock function knobs no broken posts no stripped inner slots.
DIAL LIGHT: None. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm set function works. Alarm works. Clock set works. Snooze button on top works
LOGOS: Logo on the cabinet base is crisp and clear.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board intact excellent condition.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near kitchen for much of its life.
FACTORY LABELS: Back factory labels are clear and legible, all intact.
