DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by Admiral in 1953 in excellent condition. Look at the Catalin like swirl! Looks very classy. Would look nice on a bookshelf or mantle. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original factory dark green Catalin-like swirl. No chips, abrasions, major scratches or missing pieces. There are hairline cracks on front, sides, and top. Original factory molded color. No repaints no touch-ups no oversprays. The front bottom gold metal rail is a nice touch not tarnished. The front clock bezel is clear transparent with no cracks or hazing. The white clock face is in excellent condition. Knobs are green matching, original and securely attached. All the lettering is still clear and legible. Gold has not rubbed off the Admiral logo.  This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light not designed with one. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
