Flamingo Pink 1956 Emerson Model 927B Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Vintage tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1956 in excellent working and physical condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded pink and white plastic cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, no major scratches. The front aluminum decorative controls panel is original excellent condition with no fading, rust, or oxidation trails. Some rub off around the knobs. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray no touch up.
SOUND QUALITY: This radio picks up AM stations real clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one.
KNOBS: The volume and tuning knobs are original matching gold transparent plastic. Both gold metal inserts are missing. Tuning knob works with no slipping, sticky, or stuck spots. The tuning knob is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or broken attachment post and securely attached. Volume knob is matching and original in excellent condition.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The capacitors been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
POWER CORD: New replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent working condition with no breaks, splits, or exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS: Back factory label is mostly intact and readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
