DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by Generasl Electric in 1951 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original wood cabinet with factory cedar red color wood stain. Not restained, not repainted, not touched up, not over sprayed. Original factory finish has age checking throughout which undeniably attests to time seasoned aging. Beautiful like old violin finish. The left side veneer is slightly bowed outward at the top but not separating. The veneer is chipped at front bottom left corner and back right top corner. The rest of the cabinet veneer is intact. Clear original tuning clear plastic window is in excellent condition, not cracked, no chips, not yellowed with age, not worping and securely attached. Tuning back panel is in very good to excellent condition with  left side attachment repair. Both sides have been reinforced.  

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without an external antenna. 

KNOBS: Original factory matching tuning and volume dials work fine. Securely attached. 

DIAL LIGHT: Dial lights works and lights brightly. Follows arc of tuning indicator. Nifty!

CLOCK: No clock

LOGOS: Logo on the dial face is crisp and clear.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS:  All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free operation in the future. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

POWER CORD: Original power cord is in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board has been reinforced at the base. 

FACTORY LABELS: Original bnack factory label is in excellent condition yellowed but reqadable

COLOR: Cedar red brown wood color
