DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube radio manufactured by General Electric in 1952 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory brown molded swirly Bakelite. Original factory molded colors. Not repainted, not touched up o over sprayed. No need. Clear original tuning clear plastic window is in excellent condition, not cracked, no chips, not yellowed with age, not warping and securely attached. Clock display back panel is in excellent condition with no rust or water stains. Nice contrasting and classic color combination.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without an external antenna. 

KNOBS: Original factory matching tuning and volume dials work fine. Securely attached. Original matching clock function knobs.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm set function works. Alarm works. Clock set works.

LOGOS: Logo on the dial face is crisp and clear.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS:  All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

POWER CORD: New replacement power cord is in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board intact excellent condition.

PROVENANCE: Spent most of its life in rural midwest. Was part of collection of avid collector. See gallery article here
