DESCRIPTION: Portable vacuum tube AM vacuum tube radio alarm manufactured by Delco United Motors Service Inc. in 1946-47 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Wood construction cabinet is in excellent plus condition covered by light brown tan lizard skin textured covering. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces to the wood cabinet. No rips, stains, abrasions, separated seams on textured covering. Clear plastic tuning window is replaced with brand new acrylic with no cracks, no scratches, and securely attached. Top handle is orginal in excellent condition. Front ivory plastic grill facade is in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. Excellent Plus condition considering it's a portable.

KNOBS: Original matching factory ivory molded tuning and volume knobs are securely attached no cracks. Tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. 

LOGO:  No missing logos.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The replacement power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board back cover is in excellent condition and securely mounted. Metal heat vane panel is in excellent condition no dents no dings no rust.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels

PROVENANCE: Spent most of its life in rural midwest. Was part of collection of avid collector. See gallery article here

BATTERY OPERATED: This radio uses battery sizes no longer available. Operates on standard household power only.
