DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Belmont in 1946 in excellent working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet was an original factory ivory painted Bakelite. Has been repainted at some point by a previous owner in same ivory color. Very high quality paint refinish. No cracks, chips, or major scratches.  There are minor paint dings throughout due to age not abuse or neglect. Broadcast broadcast frequency numbers are clear and readable. Clear tuning cover window is in excellent condition with no crack, no warping and securely attached.

KNOBS: Volume knob is original and securely attached in excellent condition. The side tuning knon is in excellent condition. The pushbuttons are all orginal and function as designed and securely attached. 

LOGO: Replacement Belmont logo decal is in excellent condition.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works, lights brightly.

CLOCK: no clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition with all four t-pins.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: bottom label looks like a reproduction in excellent condition. 

PROVENANCE: Spent most of its life in the southeast. Was part of collection of avid collector, ex-NHL Hall of Famer and former CEO of Nascar. Some previous owner lovingly performed a quality restoration of the cabinet.
