DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1950 excellent+ working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. The cabinet is bakelite factory painted dark green color. All original factory paint all around. Not repainted, no touched up not over sprayed. Clock and tuning surrounds and painted numbers and letters are in excellent condition.
LOGOS: Motorola squiggly logo on front speaker grill is in excellent condition.
KNOBS: The factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. All three of the little clock function knobs are original, matching, and excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Tuning ppointer is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. No clock light not designed with one. Both can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The sleep function works. The clock motor is quiet on this one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. No rust, fading, or flaking or stains on front clock and tuning backs.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. There is a appliance timer function in back. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
BACKING BOARD: Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
